နားထောင်၊ ကောင်းကင်သား ကြွေးကြော် သီချင်းရဲ့ နောက်ခံသမိုင်း

ဒီကယ်ရို သီချင်းကို Charles Wesley က ၁၇၃၉ မှာ ရေးခဲ့တုန်းက လူကြိုက်များမယ်လို့ မသိခဲ့ဘူး။ အစတုန်းက သီချင်းနာမည်ကို “Hark, how all the welkin ring,” လို့ ပေးခဲ့တယ်။ welkin ဆိုတာက ရှေးအဂ်လိပ်စကား၊ ကောင်းကင်ကို ခေါ်ပါတယ်။ George Whitefield က ၁၇၅၃ မှာ ပထမဆုံး ပုံနှိပ်ဖြန့်ချီတဲ့အခါ ပထမစာကြောင်းကို “Hark! The herald angels sing,” လို့ ပြောင်းလိုက်ရာက အခုအထိ အဲဒီလိုပဲ တွင်သွားပါတယ်။ ပထမ နှစ်ပေါင်း ၁၂၀ လောက်အထိတော့ ဒီသီချင်းကို သံစဉ်အမျိုးမျိုးနဲ့ ဆိုခဲ့ကြတယ်။ ၁၈၅၆ မှာတော့ Gutenberg Festival ပွဲတော် - 1840 အထိမ်းအမှတ် ထုတ်ဝေရာမှာ William Cummings က စာသားကို Felix Mendelssohn ရဲ့ သံစဉ်နဲ့ တွဲလိုက်တယ်။ ဆိုကြသူတွေရော ကြားရသူတွေပါ သူရေးတဲ့သံစဉ်ဟာ ဘုရားတရား စာသားတွေနဲ့ မလိုက်လောက်ဘူးလို့ ထင်ကြသူတွေက ကြိုဆိုကြတော့ Felix Mendelssohn လည်း အံ့အားသင့်လောက်ပါတယ်။
Charles Wesley ရဲ့ သီချင်းက ဘုရားတရား ဓမ္မပညာ အနှစ်ချုပ်ကို ပေးတယ်။ ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ ဘွဲ့နာမတွေ အများကြီးပါတယ်။ ဘုရင်၊ အရှင်သခင်၊ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်း အရှင်၊ တရားတော် နေမင်း၊  ထာဝရ အရှင်၊ လူမျိုးတကာတို့ရဲ့ နှစ်လိုဘွယ်ရာ၊ လူ့ဇာတိခံသော ဘုရား၊ ဧမာနွေလ။ ပထမ စာကြောင်းအပြီးမှာပဲ အသစ်ဖွါးမြင်တဲ့ ဘုရင် “the new-born King” ကို ချီးမွမ်းဖို့ နှိုးဆော်တယ်။ နောက်တကြောင်းက "အပျိုကညာမှ ဖွါးမြင်ခြင်း၊ ခရစ်တော်ရဲ့ ဘုရားဇာတိ၊ ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာနဲ့ ရှင်ပြန် ထမြောက်ခြင်း၊ အသစ်ဖွါးမြင်ခြင်းအကြောင်းတွေကို ဖေါ်ပြတယ်။ “Mild he lays his glory by” ဆိုတဲ့ စကားစု နှစ်စုကတော့ ခရစ်တော်ဟာ လူတွေနဲ့ တသားတည်းဖြစ်ဖို့ ဘုန်းစည်းစိမ်ကို စွန့်ပြီး လူ့ဇာတိခံယူကြောင်းကို ဖေါ်ပြတယ်။ “Late in time behold him come” ဆိုတဲ့ စာသားကတော့ "ယခုနောက်ဆုံးသောကာလ၌" သားတော်အားဖြင့် ဘုရားသခင် စကားပြောတယ် ဆိုတဲ့ ‌ဟေဗြဲ ၁း ၂ ကို သတိရစေတယ်။
