Standing on the Promises of God - “ဂတိတော်၌ တည်နေသည်“ သီချင်းအကြောင်း

သီချင်းရေးသူ ….. Russell Kelso Carter

Russell Kelso Carter (1849-1928) ဟာ စစ်တက္ကသိုယ်တခုမှာ အားကစားထူးချွန်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ကျောင်းစာတော်သလို၊ ဆရာအဖြစ်၊ အားကစားနည်းပြအဖြစ်လည်း အောင်မြင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဆေးကျောင်းတက်ပြီးတဲ့နောက် မက်သဒစ်ဆရာတယောက်အဖြစ် နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာ နေထိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ နောက်ပိုင်းမှာတော့ ဆရာဝန်တယောက်အဖြစ် အသက်မွေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ သူက ဂီတသမားဖြစ်သလို၊ သီချင်းလည်း ရေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ၁၈၈၆ မှာ Songs of Perfect Love သီချင်းစာအုပ်ကို John Sweney (1837-1899) နဲ့ ပူးတွဲတည်းဖြတ်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဝက်စလေကတော့ Beulah Land and Fill Me Now သီချင်းတွေကို ရေးသားခဲ့သူပါ။ ဒီသီချင်းစာအုပ်ထဲမှာ Carter ရဲ့ နာမည်အကြီးဆုံးသီချင်း “Standing on the Promises” လည်းပါခဲ့ပါတယ်။

Carter ဟာ အမည်ခံခရစ်ယာန်ဖြစ်နေခဲ့ပေမယ့်၊ တနေ့တော့ သူ့နှလုံးရောဂါက ဘုရားသခင်ရဲ့ ဂတိတော်တွေကို နားလည်စပြုဖို့ အကြောင်းဖန်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အသက် ၃၀ အရွယ်မှာ ကျန်းမာရေးဆိုးရွာလာပြီး၊ သမားတော်တွေက ဘာမှ မတတ်နိုင်တော့ပါဘူး။ Carter ဟာ ကျန်းမာဖို့ ဘုရားသခင်ထံ လှည့်ပြန်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။

သူဟာ ဒူးထောက်ပြီး၊ ကတိသစ္စာပြုလိုက်တယ်။ ပျောက်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ မပျောက်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ တသက်လုံး ဘုရားသခင်အတွက်ပဲ အသက်ရှင်တော့မယ်လို့ ဂတိထားလိုက်တယ်။ အဲဒီအချိန်ဟာ Carter ရဲ့အထဲမှာ ဘုရားစကားတော်တွေ တကယ် အသက်ဝင်လာတဲ့ အချိန်ပါပဲ။ ဆရာဝန်က ဘာပဲပြောပြော၊ ကိုယ်တိုင် ဘယ်လိုပဲ ခံစားရ၊ ခံစားရ၊ ပျောက်ကင်းစေမယ့် ဘုရားဂတိတော်တွေပေါ်မှာ ရပ်တည်ခဲ့ပါတော့တယ်။ လအတော်ကြာ ရုန်းကန်ခဲ့ပြီးနောက်မှာ ပြန်အားပြည့်လာပါတယ်။ နှလုံးလည်း လုံးဝ ပုံမှန်ပြန်ကောင်းသွားပါတယ်။ နောက်ထပ် နှစ်ပေါင်း ၄၉ နှစ် ကျန်းမာစွာ အသက်ရှင်ခွင့်ရခဲ့ပါတယ်။

 ရောဂါမပျောက်ခင် နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာကတည်းက ရေးခဲ့တဲ့ “Standing on the Promises” သီချင်းဟာ သူ့အတွက်တော့ စားသားနဲ့ သံစဉ်မျှသာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ Carter ရဲ့ တကယ့်ဖြစ်ရပ်၊ ဘဝရဲ့အစိတ်အပိုင်းတခု ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။

“မြော်လင့်ခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ဝန်ခံ၍မတိမ်းယိမ်းမရွေ့လျော့ဘဲ တည်ကြည်ကြကုန်အံ့။ အကြောင်းမူကား ဂတိထားတော်မူသောသူသည် သစ္စာနှင့် ပြည့်စုံတော်မူ၏။” - ဟေဗြဲ ၁၀း ၂၃
